Around the table tonight, we took turns saying the highs of our day, the lows, and the buffalo (something random). Our stories ranged from surprising our friend Ava Kottage with a horse lesson and froyo, to playing with a baby, to the inspector signing off on the stairs in our building, to golf with dad and Girl Scout cookies. It was a fun, full day. There was baseball practice, horse vaulting, work meetings, and more, but it still felt like a slow and wonderful day. When I woke up to go to the gym, the sun wasn’t quite up but I could see the outline of the mountains. It was gorgeous.
A couple nights ago I had dinner with my friends. My original pack from church. It was so great- just what my heart needed. There was good food and great conversation. We laughed together and prayed for each other. I never imagined I’d have friends like this as an adult. What a blessing each of them are.
